Payouts

It’s very simple to withdraw the funds from your LD Account. However, you’re welcome to leave your savings in the account for as long as you like.

As a general rule, you cannot withdraw funds from your LD Account until you have reached the age of 60. However, there may be circumstances in which you can withdraw the funds earlier, for example if you are receiving early retirement benefits.

Advantages of leaving your savings where they are

There is no upper age limit on how long you can keep your savings with The Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund. It may be advantageous to leave your savings in the scheme until you need the money, as returns are credited to your savings on an ongoing basis.

Returns vary over time, and there may be both positive and negative fluctuations. You can always log in to see how much your savings have grown over time.

Whether you choose to receive payouts or leave the money in the scheme, it will have no impact on your other pension schemes.
