The net allocation is your return

For members, it is the net allocation after pension return tax and costs that is important. The net allocation is the same as the rate at which the value of their savings grows.

A satisfactory return of 22.8% in LD Discretionary over a five-year period from 2015 to 2020, for example, guarantees members a net return of 18.7% once both direct and indirect costs and the pension return tax due have been paid.

The bottom line, or net return, cannot be compared with the returns reported by pension companies, as these companies generally report returns before costs and tax.

Here you can see the returns for each portfolio over the last five years. These are the attributed returns, before tax on returns (pension returns tax), but after the portfolio’s investment costs.
