The decision to select It-afdelingen A/S as our future partner was made following an evaluation process in which It-afdelingen A/S submitted the most favourable tender. For both LD and It-afdelingen, this marks a continuation of an existing partnership. The IT operations contract was put out to tender together with associated IT management and consultancy services, and the tender placed great emphasis on the IT security aspect, as this parameter has generally grown in importance in LD’s overall risk assessment.
“We have received high-quality tenders, and the field was very close across virtually all evaluation criteria, particularly price. We greatly appreciate the tremendous effort all bidders have put into this project,” says Charlotte Mark, Finance Director at LD, adding, “We now look forward to continuing our collaboration with the IT department.”
For LD, tendering and outsourcing are strategic choices based, amongst other things, on the objective of utilising the expertise and capacity of external Partners in areas where LD is unable or unwilling to establish equivalent capabilities in-house, as well as on reducing costs. Tendering processes ensure that outsourcing agreements are entered into on the basis of up-to-date contractual requirements and at market-based prices.
IT Department A/S is to support LD in its day-to-day operations and, in practice, act as LD’s IT department.
