Dorrit Vanglo has decided to step down as director of LD Pensions

Dorrit Vanglo has informed the board that she wishes to step down from her role as director in LD Pensions in order to focus her efforts on her board duties.

Dorrit Vanglo has been director since 2011; prior to that, she was deputy director. She will be stepping down in May 2022.

Lizette Risgaard, Chair of the LD Pensions Board, says:

“I would like to thank Dorrit, both personally and on behalf of the Board, for the many years she has spent at the helm of LD Pensions. She is a highly capable leader in both management and business matters, and she has demonstrated precisely the understanding of politics and investment that the role requires.”

I also fully understand that, after so many years working in LD Pensions, Dorrit would now like to make the transition to a daily routine that gives her more freedom to decide for herself how much work she takes on.”

The last two years have been challenging. The policy on freezing accrued holiday pay changed drastically when the coronavirus hit Denmark. We paid out very large sums at short notice, and it was uncertain how much would remain in the fund. Things have now settled down again, so the timing of a change of director is right for both LD Pensions and me. I am delighted with everything LD Pensions has achieved so far.

Dorrit Vanglo adds, “I’m continuing my work on the board, and in that way I’m still making a positive contribution to employment for older people.”

Dorrit Vanglo turned 65 in October 2021. She joined the Lønmodtagernes Dyrtidsfonden (now LD Pensions) in 1989, taking charge of unlisted investments, and in 2004 was appointed deputy director of Dyrtidsfonden and subsequently also of the investment firm LD Invest. In 2011, she became Managing Director of LD Pensions and was responsible, amongst other things, for establishing a new structure based on extensive outsourcing. Dorrit Vanglo serves as Vice Chairman of the boards of EKF – Denmark’s Export Credit Agency and the Danish Heathland Society. She also sits on the board of the Bikuben Foundation and is a member of the government’s Pension Commission, the Committee for Good Fund Governance and the Investment Committee of the Velux Foundations.

LD Pensions manages assets totalling DKK 53 billion, which include frozen holiday allowance funds held by the employees' holiday allowance fund and accrued cost-of-living allowance funds.
