You may request the payment of your LD savings if you meet one of the requirements listed below. You may also choose to leave your pension in the Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund for payment at a later date. Should you die before the payment is made, the pension will be paid to your estate.
-
You are entitled to receive your LD savings if you are aged 60 or over.

A pension is awarded in accordance with the rules applicable to employees in roles covered by a pension scheme, which essentially confers the same rights as a civil servant’s pension. This may apply to employment with independent schools and some licensed companies.
The form must be signed and stamped by the authority responsible for paying the pension. In most cases, this means the state or the local council.
