How to complete the payment form

Reason for payment

Tick the box stating your reason for requesting the payment of your LD savings. Please remember to obtain the necessary certification if required.

Certification and date

You need a signature and a stamp from the relevant authority or life insurance company certifying that you are entitled to receive the payment. Each section clearly states who should sign and stamp the form. The authority or pension fund must state the date from which you have been awarded a pension or compensation. You do not need to have the form certified if you are over 60 or if you are a resident abroad; the Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund will verify whether the conditions for payment have been met.

Further details regarding the terms and conditions are enclosed

Enclosed, you will find further information on the details and conditions you must meet in order to have your LD savings paid out before your 60th birthday. The administrator at the relevant authority or life insurance company will be able to read more about the conditions at www.ld.dk before certifying and stamping the form.

The funds will be transferred to your "nemkonto" account

The Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund will transfer your payment to your “nemkonto” account.

If you are a resident abroad

The Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund will transfer your payment to your bank account. To arrange a transfer to your account, please complete the form here.

Please remember to sign the form

You must sign and date the form at the bottom of the form.

Please write in capital letters

You must complete all relevant sections in capital letters.

Payment is made approximately two weeks later

As a rule, the Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund will be able to pay out your savings two weeks after receiving your request – provided the form has been completed correctly and you are entitled to the payment. Please be aware that disbursement may take longer in the weeks immediately before and after 1 January and around 1 July. This is because the Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund needs to finalise its annual and interim accounts before disbursement can take place. Disbursement may also take longer around the time of the public holidays in spring.

You must enclose a ‘capital pension certificate’ relating to life-threatening illnesses, signed by a doctor. LD will not cover the doctor’s fee for completing the form. If you already have a similar ‘capital pension certificate’ that has been used in connection with another pension scheme, LD will accept this certificate.

You can request a ‘capital pension certificate’ and a list of conditions considered to be life-threatening from LD Member Service on +45 70 13 13 77.

By law, LD must, six months before you reach the age of eligibility for voluntary early retirement pay, inform the Danish Tax Agency – and thereby your potential unemployment insurance fund – of the balance of your LD account. If the payment has already been made, the Danish Tax Agency will be informed of the amount paid out. This information may be relevant to your potential early retirement benefit. For further information, please contact your unemployment insurance fund.
