This guide is intended for those who live abroad and wish to have their LD savings transferred to a foreign bank account. This information is important as it ensures that the LD savings are transferred to a foreign bank account smoothly and correctly.
In order to transfer your funds, you must provide the following information to LD Pensions
Full name – i.e. as stated in your passport.
Address
Country
Registration number and NemKonto
account number
BIC / SWIFT and IBAN
Proof of ownership of the bank account
You must also provide documentation proving that you are the owner of the account you have indicated as belonging to you, and proof that you are eligible for the LD savings scheme.
The Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund does not disburse the LD savings without documentation proving that the amount has been transferred to an account belonging to the person eligible for the LD account.
Requirements for your account details
Please take care to ensure that you enter your account details correctly in the form. The Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund accepts no responsibility for errors resulting from incorrect entries.
Do you have a "nemkonto"?
If you have a "nemkonto", you can simply tick the box marked “Transfer requested to 'nemkonto'” on the form.
Do you have a Danish bank account, but not a "nemkonto"?
If you have a Danish bank account but do NOT have a "nemkonto", please enter your registration number and account number in the form.
Do you have an IBAN number?
An IBAN is an extension of your existing account number used for international transfers and payments. If you have an IBAN, please enter it in the form.
Not sure whether you have an IBAN number?
There are many countries that require IBAN account details for international transfers.

Do you have a BIC or SWIFT code?
SWIFT / BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is an international standard for identifying a bank. If you have your bank’s BIC / SWIFT code, please enter it in the form.
Do you live in a country that does NOT use BIC / SWIFT and IBAN?
Not all countries use BIC/SWIFT and IBAN. If you live in a country that does not use BIC/SWIFT and IBAN, you must ensure that you obtain the bank codes from your local bank, as these are required when transferring funds from abroad. Below is a list of bank codes for a few countries:
US: 9-digit code known as the FW number, routing number or ABA number
Canada: 9-digit code known as the transit number
Australia: 6-digit bank code
New Zealand: 6-digit bank code
Currency
When transferring your LD savings to your bank account, the amount is converted into the currency used in your country.
Please note – a request must be made for the payment to be made
As well as completing the form with the information and documentation mentioned above, you must also submit a request for payment. The Cost-of-Living Allowance Fund can only pay out your savings once we have received your signed request for payment.
If you have a NemID, you can log in at ld.dk and request a payment. However, you must be over 60 years old to do so. If this does not apply to you, you must order a payment form by calling +45 70 13 13 77, sign it and send it to LD Member Services.
We will retain your account details until we have received your payment form or registered your payment request via ld.dk.
