In LD Pensions, we are looking for a controller for a professionally stimulating role, where collaboration and professionalism are key. We are a small organisation with a great deal of responsibility. We prioritise a high level of involvement, ownership of tasks and knowledge-sharing.
Your duties
Drawing on your understanding of the interplay between investments and accounting data, you and three colleagues will have the following main responsibilities:
- monitoring of accounting entries, ESG data and ongoing financial reporting
- monitoring of liquidity in investment pools
- processing and monitoring of investment flows, e.g. cash flows from private equity funds
- reconciliation of bank accounts and custody accounts
- settlement of taxes and duties
- reporting to the authorities.
LD Pensions’ business model is based on a high degree of outsourcing. It is therefore important that you understand and are able to navigate interactions with external suppliers of accounting data, cash flows and investments. Your tasks will often overlap with those of your immediate colleagues, providing opportunities for discussion and mutual support. You will have the opportunity to help optimise and develop robust processes. To thrive in this role, you must therefore be systematic and have a strong eye for detail.
We’d be a good fit if you:
- has a background in accounting
- has experience in financial reporting – preferably from the financial sector
- enjoys routine tasks and detail-oriented work
- is motivated by the accurate and timely delivery of high-quality professional work
- is curious and actively contributes to knowledge sharing.
What can we offer you?
We offer a professionally stimulating role with great social relevance and attractive terms of employment. You will be part of a small organisation with highly qualified colleagues, where there is a strong focus on your well-being and professional development. Salary is determined on the basis of qualifications and experience. The role is based at the LD Pensions office near Flintholm Station.
