Future-Fit

LD Pensions is working with the non-profit organisation Future-Fit to encourage companies in its portfolio to demonstrate responsibility in relation to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

We collaborate with the non-profit organisation Future-Fit. Future-Fit has developed a tool that helps companies identify areas for action and move in the right direction when it comes to working towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. By raising awareness of Future-Fit and by setting measurable sustainability requirements in our collaboration with asset managers, companies and Partners, LD Pensions aims to make a difference.

The environment, social responsibility and good corporate governance have always been part of LD Pensions’ DNA. However, we have lacked reliable data on sustainability. For their part, companies have lacked a tool that could provide a systematic and transparent framework for their self-assessment and reporting. This is what we, together with Future-Fit, can deliver.

About Future-Fit:
- The Future-Fit Business Benchmark is a self-assessment tool that companies can use to guide, measure and report on real progress.
- Future-Fit’s tool is used internationally. In Denmark, it is used by companies including Novo Nordisk, Ørsted and Maersk.
- Both start-ups and global companies, as well as investors, use Future-Fit’s tool.

A tool for businesses – and for ourselves

Our partnership with Future-Fit reflects LD Pensions’ desire to help ensure that all the companies we invest in have sound corporate governance and adopt sustainable and responsible business practices. This applies to companies across all sectors, as even the production of healthy products can have a harmful impact on, for example, the environment. LD Pensions does not merely focus on external factors. It is also a tool for setting the same measurable requirements for our own efforts to be a sustainable organisation. We therefore report on the same 23 areas that we expect our Partners to report on.

Pilot project

We have launched a pilot project in which, through our asset managers, we offer selected companies in which we invest a ‘starter pack’ containing very specific tools and consultancy support. This makes it tangible for companies to commit to working with the Future-Fit tool and the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
