With us, you will be a valued colleague in a small, specialised organisation with 20 dedicated staff members. You will join the investment department, which is responsible for strategic asset management, the development of investment strategies and their implementation through external Danish and international equity managers. We place great importance on clear areas of responsibility, a focus on core tasks, and depth and quality.
Day-to-day life in the investment department is characterised by collaboration, a positive atmosphere, and discussions and analyses relating to investment matters. The investment department consists of a CIO, a chief analyst, three portfolio managers, an ESG analyst and a student. You will report to the CIO, Kristoffer Fabricius Birch.Â
Your main responsibilities:
- To develop a long-term equity strategy that generates excess returns relative to the benchmark whilst meeting LD Pensions’ climate and ESG objectives.
- To select external investment managers to implement the equity strategy and to monitor their philosophy, style, process, performance and risk management on an ongoing basis.
- To determine the allocation within the asset class and manage the desired exposure and risk, where appropriate using equity futures.
- Identify and implement measures to improve the equity portfolio.
- Ensure professional development by keeping up to date with both academic and practical knowledge in the areas of equity investment, manager selection, ESG integration and risk management.
What are we looking for?
We place great importance on you having the skills to manage and develop equity strategies and manager selection. You are motivated by creating long-term value through the systematic assessment of external fund managers and are able to make decisions on, for example, equity portfolio allocation based on analysis. You thrive on seeing tasks completed, deadlines met, and results that meet the agreed requirements. You are positive, show an interest in others, and are keen to contribute actively to our well-functioning team.
You have one or more of the following experiences:
- relevant theoretical knowledge and practical experience from the financial sector
- drawn up an investment strategy for a portfolio of equity fund managers
- selected and monitored external equity fund managers
- integrated ESG and climate objectives into equity investments.
